Local independent leasing company Vehicle Save Contract Hire & Leasing Limited announces the appointment of new general Sales manager Jane Knight. Jane is the first female manager to head up the contract hire and leasing company since it was established in 2007.

With over 15 years in the contract hire and associated industries including account management and new business development and growth. Jane born in Bristol, has returned to the South West to take up her new position having worked for some major operatives in the industry covering the South East.
Vehicle Save Contract Hire & Leasing Limited is part of The Vehicle Save Group operated by local businessman Jim Howard. It comprises two independent businesses providing complementing services of contract hire & leasing and daily rentals with its head office based on Marsh Barton, Exeter. Vehicle Save (UK) Limited commenced trading in 1994 and now has a turnover of £4.5m and c.100 employees. Jim is the official franchisee of UK’s leading car and van rental company, Europcar in the South West peninsula operating three branches in Exeter, Taunton and Plymouth.

Jim Howard Managing Director of Vehicle Save (UK) Limited says: “We are a truly independent local business delivering a bespoke service to SMEs in the South West for both leasing and rentals. As a result we are well placed to offer customers totally unbiased guidance on the selection of the right vehicles for their business, something that a dealership is unable to do. Having Jane on board will add value to the personal service we already provide. She is highly respected in the industry and will bring a wealth of experience and contacts to the role.  Jane has some ambitious ideas and plans which will go towards growing the business further and help the company continue to go from strength to strength.”

Jane Knight General Manager Vehicle Save Contract Hire & Leasing says: “I am delighted to be back in the West Country and very excited about my new role. My aim is to maintain existing relationships and grow the client portfolio. I want to get closer to our customers to ensure that all their requirements are fulfilled to include both daily rental and contract hire. Brand Awareness is key in a competitive market along with specific target marketing; I prefer however to use the more traditional methods of speaking to customers face to face. Everything today is done electronically which can lose the impact of developing close working relationships. People buy from people and Vehicle Save Contact Hire & Leasing’s success is built on trust and reputation as well as genuine independent advice. It’s all about great teamwork and I have the support of Jim and my fellow colleagues so it promises to be a very exciting future.”
